Celebrating Sydney

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Oregon’s threatening clouds didn’t keep Sydney and the Baker clan from jumping the car and race down to my home a couple minutes away just as the rain gave us a break. We had been texting back and forth all morning trying to predict when the rain would let up, so we decided to fly on by the seat of our pants and have an adventure!

Sydney is a quiet outdoors man, boots, hat and all, so the race against the rain just added character to our senior portrait shoot. šŸ™‚ With his cousins joining in the fun and his awesome Aunt manning the Reflector, we had a blast!

Thank you for the honor of shooting your Senior and Yearbook Portraits, Sydney!

Beth & Ryan’s Wedding

A backyard, summer, country wedding? Yes, please! Beth and Ryan’sĀ  wedding was filled with family and friends, peanut throwing wars & laughter, country music & dancing. A day of celebration in the sunny country is a happy day indeed!

Many thanks to Anna Edmonds for being the Stylist of the day!

My Sister Sarah

It is my privilege to introduce to you my sister, Sarah Rogers!Ā  I’ve mentioned her and her music studio, Legacy Music, a few past post, but now you get to meet her. =)

Well, she is a talented, not to mention, gorgeous, piano and voice teacher to 30+ students. She is an avid reader & self-educator. Get her going on the topic of history and prepare to get a history degree. She’s like a sponge for information and learning.

In sports and games, she’s competitive & a natural born leader.

Her passion for what she loves is intense and you can see her thoughts through her eyes. Jesus Christ is her ultimate passion.

Her smile is contagious and melts all of her students hearts.

She’s beautiful inside and out.

Our youngest sister and artist of the family, Hannah, did her hair. Didn’t she do a fabulous job?

I’m so proud of my sister Sarah. She reminds me of what is important in life and reminds me to find joy in the simple things of life.

I love you Sarah!

Thank you Molly & Hannah for holding the reflector for me!

Michael & Tiffany’s Wedding

’12 Graduate, Erin Buchanan

Laughter, yellow, poka-dots, community servant… these are the first things that come to my mind when I think about Erin Buchanan. She is graduating this spring with a degree in speech therapy and desires to help those in need. When I talk with her, I can’t help but smile. šŸ™‚ She a beautiful ray of sun in our rainy Portland.

Michael & Jennifer’s Engagement Shoot

Michael & Jennifer’s engagement shoot was special for me because it was my first engagement shoot and first time being a second shooter. When Christa Taylor asked me to be her second I was stoked… like, we’re talking happy dancing stoked. When we all arrived on location, I was so blessed by Michael & Jennifer’s obvious love for each other. Their personalities fed off of each other in continual grins and laughter. šŸ™‚ I hope that through the photos you’ll be able to catch a glimpse of the love, joy, and fun Michael & Jennifer have together. Enjoy!

What People Are Saying

Thank you Alyssa for your endorsement! It was a blast and my pleasure. šŸ™‚

“Ashley Rogers and I have known each other for a while now and I have always known her to have an eye for detail. That’s why I was so excited to learn that she had started Focal Clarity, I knew that she would produce good work.
My mother had been bugging me about getting photos taken so that she could have some updated ones. What I found when I asked Ashley to take my photos not only was she professional and created extraordinary work but also she was affordable! Also, when I’ve had photos taken in the past it’s been mediocre work for an extremely high price. What I found with Ashley is that she really focuses on the things that are important in a photo and makes them shine. She’s very fun to work with and the two hours we spent together felt more like 15 minutes. She put up with my quirks and made my personality come through the photos. It was a very pleasurable experience and I would go to her for any of my other photography needs.” – Alyssa Weyhrauch
