“Friends making friendly music with friends for everyone, as long as said friends agree to act friendly all the time. With the their unique sound, stylish harmonies, west coast vibes, and energetic feel, Reign The Arcade loves writing music and playing for fans. RTA is based out of Portland, Oregon. They are currently working on expanding their fan base, promoting their new EP entitled “Velvet”, booking shows for the fall, and looking for a label!” – Reign the Arcade

The first time I heard Chris Blair perform was at Costello’s Cafe in Portland while I sipped on Peppermint Hot Chocolate with friends enjoying company. Since that day, I’ve had the pleasure of serving alongside Chris every year at the Pictures in the Park Gospel Outreach. Thank you, Chri,s and your band, Reign the Arcade, for providing us with a great performance! It was an honor to team up with you again!

’12 Pictures in the Park: Taylor Reavely

Taylor Reavely is a familiar face to those who have attended Pictures in the Park these past couple years. This year he had all the little girls enchanted as he sang about an 8 year old girl named Kate… not to mention his whistling talent. 🙂

Taylor Reavely is a 22 year old student and worship leader, native to the Portland, OR area. He just graduated from Portland State, having studied marketing, and plans to pursue his Masters of Divinity at Western Seminary in 2013. Music is his passion now, but he can easily see himself standing behind a pulpit rather than a guitar.

I just had to throw in this picture. Isn’t she adorable!

Thank you Taylor for teaming up with us by sharing your music with our community!

He is the Worship Pastor at First Evangelical Church in Vancouver, WA. In the Fall of 2011 Jonny released his second album “Our God is Here”. The twelve song collection that ranges from energetic rock to thought provoking ballads. Following the CD release concert in October, the band topped off their Fall tour by performing at Spirit Fest in Austin, TX before 12,000 concert goers in Dell Diamond Stadium.

Joshua Pickerign – Lead Guitar: Joshua started playing guitar at age 15 and began performing at his local church in Beaverton, Oregon at age 16. He earned his B.S. in Economics at Oregon State University and is currently studying accounting at Portland State University. He currently lives in Beaverton and regularly attends Beaverton Foursquare Church.

Levi Warren – Bass Guitar: Levi grew up in a musical family, so his love of music was developed early. He took piano lessons as a kid, sang in choirs, and played in the band in junior high. It was at age thirteen, though, that he first picked up the bass. From there he played in multiple bands and at church on the worship teams. While studying music and ministry in college, he met Jonny and their friendship and musical career together were fast formed. Levi also writes/records music and performs as a solo artist. He enjoys good coffee, reading, writing, and listening to lots of music.

Phillip Wenzel – Drums: Phillip started playing drums at age 5 and began performing regularly in his local church and school in Jr. High. After high school, he attended Portland Community College and Portland State University with an emphasis in music performance. In addition to JWB, Phillip is also an active session drummer for various solo artists and bands. He lives in Beaverton, Oregon with his beautiful wife, Erin, and their Boston Terrier, Louis.

’12 Legacy Music Studios Recital

You may remember from a few months ago I did a photo post on Legacy Music Studio’s ’11 Master Classes. Well, last week they held their end of the year recital and I had the honor of capturing 20+ musicians take the stage. I love watching kids fall in love with their music. =) Some played a few notes in public for the first time and others showed wonderful musicianship. All were, deservedly so, proud of their accomplishments and audience affirmation as they took their bow. Wonderful job everyone!!

NW Mission ConneXion Endorses Focal Clarity!

Thank you Missions ConneXion for your endorsement!

“Focal Clarity: Sharp, creative and balanced pictures — this is what comes to mind when I think of Focal Clarity and the work of Ashley Rogers. Mission ConneXion Northwest is a two-day conference with over 80 exhibitors and 120 workshops, and four plenary speakers. Ashley did an excellent job capturing the essence of this multi-dimensional event with obstacles like low lighting, gymnasium, classroom and auditorium venues, as well as thousands of attendees. Her photos were interesting and provided professional promotional tools that are invaluable to our organization. I heartily recommend Focal Clarity.” – NW Missions ConneXion
